Associate Professor Trevor Cullen runs the Journalism department at Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia.
He has received university and national tertiary teaching awards and he was part of a team of researchers that secured two national research grants (ARC and OLT).
Prof Cullen’s research areas include journalism education, health reporting, health communications and media coverage of infectious diseases.

In July 2015 Professor Cullen was awarded an OLT National Teaching Fellowship to design and develop journalism capstone units for tertiary journalism progammes throughout Australia.
